Silver has the best conductance and the smallest signal losses respectively. However, many silver cables can be horrible, thin, and hissy sounding. The AiR cable are not bright and clinical sounding, but rather have a clear, "silky" tone that is even throughout the frequency range. The AiR cables are well done and are extremely good sounding. An audio cable should act solely as a means of exactly conveying the music, in the form of an electromagnetic wave, from microphone to speaker. This may seem like common sense, but, in reality, audio cables are used in a variety of roles. Many use these products in a system to acheive a tonal balance to their liking or even to mask an undesireable characteristic or problem elsewhere in the audio chain. A cable not designed with this philosophy in mind, may, in fact, become the weakest link in the audio chain, thus limiting the ultimate musical potential of an audio system. The super conducting AiR cable series reflect our design philosophy in its purest form: Silver conductors made of pure fine-silver, seamless from end to end and encased in a teflon tube. Each piece is handcrafted one at a time here at Acoustic Reality in Denmark under the highest quality control.
